munchkin mbaby apparel review and giveaway!

so let me just say that i was thrilled when munchkin asked us to review their mbaby collection! munchkin makes tons of great products including our favorite snack catcher so yea pretty excited over here.

we received a short sleeve onesie, a long sleeve onesie and the pinstripe sleeper. as i was taking them out of the box i noticed how soft everything was, the outfits are made of organic or 100% cotton and feel amazing! top-notch quality! the mbaby onester and sleepster collection was created with a double-layer in the front almost like a built-in blanket. the idea is that since babies spend most of the time on their backs (in the crib, stroller etc) their fronts are exposed while their backs are covered. this double-layer allows for better protection from the elements as well as extra comfort and warmth. what a clever idea!

another fun thing, that's probably my favorite, totally random, but you know how you always button up onesies wrong because you don't connect the right buttons? well, these outfits have gold buttons in the center so you cant mess this up! you, yes you! even my fellow blondes can't get this one wrong!

oh and tenley looks pretty darn cute in them if i do say so myself :)

Amber Pieces: Baby Teething Amber Necklace and Bracelet Review and Giveaway!

i was contacted by Amber Pieces about a year ago to review some of their baby products, but i'm fairly certain morning sickness got the best of me around that time and as my email piled sky high i lost contact with them along the way.

a couple of weeks ago i was doing some spring cleaning in the email department and happened to stumble upon them again and wouldn't you know it-perfect timing. we have "teething tenley" over here!

we picked up right where we left off and i received a baby teething amber necklace and matching bracelet (and one of each for a giveaway!). they are so teeny tiny and cute and tenley looks like a little doll wearing them! oh! and amber! did you know that amber is often used in folk medicine for its professed healing properties? news to me! you can read all about it here, but it discusses the European tradition for babies and small children suffering from teething problems to wear amber jewelry close to the skin to help relieve pain.

tenley hasn't been having a difficult time with teething, but it's definitely something to look into if your little one is!

**note: it is recommended that parents take precautions -the jewelry is not intended for chewing, but strictly for wearing. it is suggested that the jewelry should not be slept in. also, i would suggest making sure that the bracelet fits well  because our tenley was able to get it off her wrist and, of course, all things in her hands go straight to the mouth these days.

soooooo sorry i forgot to announce our winner yesterday! it's been a looooong week, including, but not limited to: toddler poop, toddler throw up, crying, tantrums and spit up to the face! the mommyhood years really are the best though, no?

GooseWaddle Blanket Review and Giveaway! the softest of soft in my book.

when rylan was a baby baby we would take naps together in our favorite spot on the couch with our favorite cozy blanket. those times spent all snuggled up, nice and warm, are some of my most cherished memories with my little man, mainly because he's not a big fan of cuddling anymore and i miss it. he hardly sits still these days, but that's another story for another time!

at the Baker house, we are just cozy fools, you know? the best thing about winter is bunching everybody up nice and tight on the couch in our warmest sweats and topping us off with a "softest of soft" blanket. so i was pretty pumped when i was contacted to review these blankets from GooseWaddle.

i'm a sucker for the furry ones and quilts, there's just something about them that lulls you to sleep, right? well, i've never felt a "furry one" like this one. we received a white (we went with gender neutral-in hopes of a baby baker #3 someday! fingers crossed!) baby blanket, blankie and the GooseWaddle plush toy-who most definitely needs a name by the way...i'm thinking Herbie-i mean, goodness gracious look at the guy-he's totally a Herbie ;), or something like that, or maybe just Goose. 

the full size baby blanket is perfect for either of my littles, but tenley will love cozy-ing up with the blankie-she's taken a liking to sleeping with blankies over her face! and rylan is pretty fond of the "Goose" and his "gasses" aka glasses.

when we opened the packages, you could almost immediately feel the high quality of the blankets. they are super soft and thick and seem to be "double layered"-whatever that means-(i know nothing of sewing and this could be the case, but i'm just guessing).

and i think it's safe to say that our littlest review-er gives it two thumbs up...or two eyelids closed!

anywho, we are looking forward to getting some good use out of these blankets for the rest of the winter. it's been a cold one, Oklahoma!
