The Dreaded Day
I had been dreading Ry's 2 month shots for a long time. Every time I thought about it I would ache in the pit of my stomach. But sometimes things go better than expected. Mr. Baker held baby boy's arms while the nurse gave the shots. I could feel the tears swelling in my eyes. His face turned deep red and the heart-wrenching cries started. But a tear never fell from my eyes. It all happened so fast and as soon as Mr. Baker and I bundled him up in our arms the crying was over. He knew he was safe, loved and protected.
The best part is, it's over! And he is protected : ) He's lucky to have such a wonderful mom and dad!

so glad! that is a wonderful pic of y'all!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad it went as good as it did! That is exactly what Owen did, he calmed right down when we held him. The crying is always sad to hear even if its just for a few moments, but at least it went better then you thought.
ReplyDeleteAw, shots are the worst! And sadly, they never get any easier. But they must be done and now he is protected and you have a little while before the next round. Yay for no tears for mommy!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad everything went well (although baby baker cried a bit). Cutest baby ever! I honestly can't even imagine when my babies will have to get shots... but I think you handled it well!

ReplyDeleteOh good grief do I have some tears to look forward to or what?! My baby is due any day now, and I'm already emotional as it is!!! LOL! Well, its all for a good cause (his health), right? But I can imagine that seeing your baby in pain is gonna be tough. Bet your glad the shots are over!

Aw, that must be so tough to have to see him go through shots! But it's great you both were with your baby comfort him :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet picture! He looks very happy in your arms. :) You have a very cute, honest and beautiful blog about motherhood. My BFF just had her first baby so I've been more interested in babies now than ever.
